Why it makes the shortlist

ServiceM8 publishes scheduling, online bookings, quoting, invoicing and client history across all plans. Paid plans are not priced per user; the main scaling variable is monthly new-job volume plus feature availability.

What mobile detailers should notice

The Dispatch Map and Apple CarPlay are listed across all plans. Auto Routing is an add-on that ServiceM8 says is available across all plans—so “available” should not be read as “included at no extra cost.” That distinction matters when comparing route economics.

Switching, automation, team fit and mobile reality

Switching from another tool

ServiceM8 documents bulk client/contact importing by CSV and supported accounting integrations. Before deleting an account, download an account backup: ServiceM8 says cancelled account data is permanently removed, and the backup is for reference rather than a full restore into another ServiceM8 account.

What actually gets automated?

ServiceM8's Quote Follow-Up Automation can send scheduled SMS/email follow-ups after a quote is sent. Follow-up steps stop when the quote is accepted or the job state changes, so the workflow can chase an open estimate without continuing after the customer has moved forward.

Three-person example

Paid ServiceM8 plans publish unlimited users, so team size itself does not add a per-seat charge. A three-person business doing about 100 new jobs/month points to the published Growing tier at $79/month; confirm current pricing before subscribing.

Mobile reality

Apple-first matters. ServiceM8 Lite supports Android field work, but ServiceM8 documents feature differences versus the full iPhone/iPad experience. Account configuration, permissions, templates and some advanced setup are normally handled through the Online Dashboard, so "Android supported" should not be read as "every business-admin task is fully available in the Android app."
