FilmIQ Review (2026): AI-First CRM for PPF, Tint & Wrap Shops
FilmIQ is an early-access CRM built specifically for tint, PPF, wrap and ceramic shops. Its strongest idea is connecting AI lead response, shop-specific quoting, customer proposals, Square invoicing and booking in one film-shop workflow.
PPF, tint, wrap and ceramic shops that lose leads after hours and want quoting, proposals, deposits and follow-up built around film work rather than generic field service.
FilmIQ is still early access. Instagram/Facebook DM capture, QuickBooks and a native mobile app are not yet built, and public migration/import documentation is limited.
DetailerFit research verdict: FilmIQ is one of the more differentiated new automotive-appearance CRMs because the workflow is designed around panel pricing, film services and lead conversion rather than adapting a generic contractor CRM. The trade-off is maturity: at $299/month, buyers should validate the AI quoting, onboarding, data migration and day-to-day reliability during the trial before switching a production shop.

What is FilmIQ?
FilmIQ is a shop-management and sales platform operated by SeaWraps LLC and positioned specifically for window tint, paint protection film, vinyl wrap, chrome delete and ceramic businesses. The product is currently in early access and says it is running in the founder's own film shop.
The core flow is unusually specific to automotive appearance work: capture a lead, text the customer, quote from the shop's configured pricing, send a proposal, collect a deposit, create a Square invoice and put the accepted job on the calendar.
FilmIQ pricing in 2026
FilmIQ currently publishes a single Shop plan rather than a feature-gated tier ladder.

| Annual | $3,050/year | Vendor describes this as roughly 15% off |
| Trial | 14 days | Starts at onboarding; card required upfront |
| Setup fee | $0 | No setup fee published |
| Contract | None | Vendor says cancel anytime |
| Seats | Unlimited | No per-user charge |

Pricing checked September 25, 2026 from FilmIQ's official pricing page. Early-access terms can change quickly.
AI lead response and quoting
FilmIQ's central sales feature is an AI representative that can respond to incoming leads, ask qualifying questions, quote from the shop's configured price tables and continue following up until the customer books, opts out or a human takes over.
That is more ambitious than a standard missed-call text-back or scripted receptionist. The value proposition is that the AI can move beyond “How can I help?” into a service-specific price conversation using the shop's own tiers.
Per-panel pricing and proposals
FilmIQ publishes a pricing workspace built around panels, coverage packages, film choices, difficulty and markups. Its public PPF example prices a full-front package from individual hood, bumper, fender, mirror and headlight components, then applies coverage-level adjustments and fees.
For PPF and wrap shops, that is a meaningful design choice. Generic CRMs usually think in products, labor items or service packages; a film shop often needs to think in panels, material, coverage and vehicle-specific complexity.
Customer proposals can show package options and add-ons, display the deposit due and be approved from the customer's phone. The vendor also says proposal status can track sent, viewed and accepted states.
Square, deposits and payment workflow
FilmIQ is designed to keep Square rather than replace it. When a proposal is accepted, the vendor says FilmIQ can create an itemized Square invoice, collect the deposit first and mirror payment status back into the FilmIQ workflow.
This could reduce double entry for shops already committed to Square, but it also means Square is an important dependency. Shops using another payment stack should verify whether the workflow still fits before migrating.
Calendar and booking workflow
Accepted work becomes a job on FilmIQ's calendar, with Google Calendar sync and reminder texts. The public product flow shows the vehicle, service and price attached to the scheduled job.
FilmIQ is not positioning itself as a generic “pick any open slot” booking widget first. Its pitch is closer to lead → conversation → quote → proposal approval → scheduled install, which can make more sense for high-ticket PPF, wrap and premium tint jobs that need qualification before a time is committed.
FilmIQ Growth and Lead Radar
FilmIQ also advertises an early-access Growth add-on. The published concept includes ad creation for Google, Meta and TikTok, re-engagement of quiet quotes and attribution from ad spend to booked installs.
The more unusual feature is Lead Radar: FilmIQ says it monitors public car-owner forums for local buyers asking about PPF, tint or wrap, then sends the shop an alert with a drafted reply. The vendor says territories are limited to one shop per market.
Setup and migration difficulty
FilmIQ says early-access onboarding takes about a day and includes billing, shop hours, the business number and price tables, with the founder onboarding shops directly.
| Dimension | DetailerFit assessment | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Setup Difficulty | Moderate | Founder-assisted, but the shop still needs to configure business details, number and pricing tables. |
| Migration Difficulty | Unknown / potentially moderate | The public site does not currently document CSV customer import, historical job migration or a structured migration service. |
| Payment migration | Potentially easy for Square shops | FilmIQ is designed to push invoices into Square rather than force a new payment processor. |
| Mobile transition | Trade-off | A native phone app is not built yet; shops should test the browser workflow on the devices used in the bay. |
Migration question to ask before buying: How are existing customers, vehicles, open quotes, historical jobs and price tables imported from your current CRM? FilmIQ's public pages do not yet provide enough detail to score this confidently.
What FilmIQ does not have yet
One useful sign of transparency is that FilmIQ publicly lists several missing capabilities. As of the September 25 source check, the vendor says the following are not yet built:
- Instagram and Facebook DM capture. Leads in those inboxes still remain in their native apps.
- QuickBooks integration.
- A native mobile app.
Those gaps matter. A tint or wrap shop that lives in Instagram DMs may not get the unified inbox it expects yet, and an accounting-heavy operation may prefer a more mature integration stack.
FilmIQ vs established alternatives
| Software | Where it is stronger today | Where FilmIQ is differentiated |
|---|---|---|
| Urable | Established product, native mobile apps, broader public proof, lower entry price, QuickBooks on eligible plans | AI-led conversation and quoting from film-shop price tables; one all-in plan |
| Tint Wiz | Mature tint-shop workflow, film inventory and established project management | AI-first lead response and Square-connected proposal-to-invoice flow |
| OrbisX | Broad automotive CRM, automation, inventory and established multi-service operations | Narrower film-shop-only design and panel-oriented AI quoting |

- Per-panel PPF and film quoting is more domain-specific than generic CRM quoting.
- Accepted proposals can flow into Square invoices and deposits.
- Unlimited seats under one published plan.
- Founder-assisted onboarding during early access.
- $299/month is a meaningful commitment for a small one-bay shop.
- Still in early access.
- No native phone app yet.
- No Instagram/Facebook DM capture yet.
- No QuickBooks integration yet.
- Migration/import capabilities are not sufficiently documented publicly.
- AI performance has not been independently tested by DetailerFit.
Who should test FilmIQ?
FilmIQ is most compelling for a film-focused shop where missed leads and slow quoting are expensive. A PPF, tint or wrap business selling high-ticket work can justify a higher software bill more easily if the platform actually converts even a small number of leads that would otherwise go cold.
It is less obvious for a new solo operator with low lead volume, a shop that depends heavily on Instagram DMs, or a business that needs mature accounting, mobile-app and migration tooling immediately.
Frequently asked questions
How much does FilmIQ cost?
FilmIQ currently publishes one Shop plan at $299/month or $3,050/year. Every seat is included. The vendor says there is no setup fee or contract, while Twilio carrier fees pass through separately.

Yes. FilmIQ publishes a 14-day trial that starts at onboarding. Its pricing page says a card is required upfront and the first charge occurs on day 15 unless the shop cancels before then.
Is FilmIQ only for PPF?
No. FilmIQ targets tint, PPF, vinyl wrap, chrome delete and ceramic services. Its pricing model and sales workflow are built around automotive film and appearance work.
