DetailPilot Review (2026): Is It a Good Fit for Auto Detailers?

DetailPilot is built for car-detailing businesses and combines customer booking, payments and business-management tools with a free entry plan. Its higher tiers add a full website, memberships and team-management features.

Growth$2950 bookings/month; no DetailPilot platform fee

What the free Starter plan gives a new detailer

The free plan is the most distinctive part of DetailPilot's pricing. Public product information lists online booking, deposits, invoicing, customer management and online/on-site payments as part of the platform. Starter is limited to 10 bookings per month and applies a 1% fee to online transactions.

That makes Starter more useful as a real operating tier than a short free trial, but a detailer processing meaningful payment volume should compare the transaction fee against the $29 Growth plan.

When Growth makes sense

Growth raises the booking allowance to 50 per month and removes the DetailPilot platform fee. Public pricing also lists SMS automations, promotions and discounts, Google review tools, on-my-way tracking, traffic-source analytics, Google Calendar sync, travel fees and custom booking questions.

Why Pro is the important website tier

Pro is the first plan to inspect if you want DetailPilot to power more than booking. It adds a professional website, custom-domain support, a website booking widget, memberships, multi-service and multi-vehicle booking, fleet-management tools and Buy Now Pay Later support. It also advertises unlimited bookings.

Business: team operations

Business is positioned for teams. Public pricing lists team management, individual roles and permissions, advanced reporting, webhooks, automatic local-SEO features, removal of DetailPilot branding and chat support.

Payments, deposits and memberships

DetailPilot explicitly advertises deposits plus online and on-site payment collection. Membership plans are published on Pro and Business. If recurring maintenance details are central to your retention strategy, that is one of the more relevant reasons to compare the Pro tier rather than judging DetailPilot only by its free plan.

Device fit

DetailPilot is web-based and explicitly advertises an iOS app. During this source check, we did not find equally clear public documentation for a dedicated Android app. Android-heavy teams should confirm the current field experience directly with DetailPilot before buying.

Free plan and cancellation

DetailPilot advertises a free Starter plan rather than a time-limited trial. Its public FAQ also says subscriptions can be cancelled at any time with no commitment.

DetailerFit verdict

DetailPilot deserves a serious look for new and growing detailing businesses that want booking, payments and a detailing-specific setup without starting with a large fixed monthly bill. The $0 Starter plan is attractive for testing real customer demand, Growth is the cleaner paid operating tier, and Pro is the more meaningful comparison point if you want the website and membership layer.

It is not automatically the best fit for every established shop. Larger teams should compare Business against deeper automotive CRMs, and Android-dependent operators should verify device support before migrating.
